TEXAS LOVE TRIANGLE Jealous Woman Tries To Drop A 25-Pound Weight On Her Boyfriend’s Alleged Side Chick At The Gym
A shocking incident at a 24-Hour Fitness gym in Spring, Texas has landed a woman in legal trouble after authorities say a jealous confrontation turned violent. Deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office say 24-year-old Aralyn Martinez recognized another woman inside the gym whom she believed was romantically involved with her partner.
According to officials, Martinez allegedly confronted the woman and grabbed a 25-pound weight plate, threatening to use it as a w*apon before actually throwing it toward the other woman’s head. A charging document obtained by People Magazine states Martinez allegedly said, “B*tch, I’m going to drop this plate on you,” before hurling it.
Miraculously, the victim moved out of the way in time and avoided serious injury, avoiding what could have been a much worse outcome. Witnesses and gym patrons reportedly intervened to calm the situation before law enforcement arrived.
Martinez fled the scene after the altercation but was arrested the next day and booked into the Harris County Jail on a felony aggravated assault charge for using and exhibiting a d*adly w*apon — in this case, the weight plate. Bond was set at $1,000, and she was later released under court-ordered supervision.
In addition to her arrest, a judge’s order imposing conditions on her release notes that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the incident. Martinez has been ordered to stay away from the victim and the gym, must undergo drug and alcohol testing, and is prohibited from possessing weapons while the case moves forward. Her next court hearing is scheduled for January 22.
The bizarre episode — captured on a cell phone video that’s now circulating online — is another reminder of how quickly jealousy and anger can escalate into legally serious actions when emotions boil over. Law enforcement and local officials are urging anyone with additional footage or information related to the incident to come forward.
